To benefit from the scheme, employees commit to regular childcare payments by means of a ‘salary sacrifice’ scheme implemented via their employer’s payroll
The employer’s NI contribution on this amount is refunded
A sum equivalent to the “salary sacrifice” is placed in a secure Care-4 account and made available for childcare payments to designated, eligible carers without the administration hassle of paper voucher
